Need advice in overclocking

I was thinking about overclocking my cpu, any advices good/bad, what could happen, what to avoid. Should i do it?
Here are my specs:

Well are any cores on the CPU running 100% load? If not it won't help anything. I suspect the drops are coming from your 970 not the 6700k but I could be wrong. Monitor CPU and GPU usage during the drops to confirm which is holding you up.

Pretty much no unless you play league on lower settings or csgo you'd still get a stupid number of frames now, but a lot of people think 250>200 on a 60/75/120/144 Hz monitor, this isn't true.


You make no mention of your CPU cooler or current 100% load temps so I definitely can't say yes. A Stock 6700k will not bottlneck a 970 in many cases anyway. I'd say there really isn't a reason

In some cases such as Outlast 2, The Crew, there are many instances of frame drops. The frames drop slowly and i don't understand why, everything is cooled, nothing passes over 50.
