Not sure what happened but i noticed the little switch on the back of my keyboard that had 1248 on it and flipped it out of curiosity then the keyboard disconnected from my computer and no longer responds to my typing even though it still lights up. Anyone know whats wrong because i couldn't find anything on this problem.

it says 1,2,4,8 corresponding to the switches and bios so i expect its some sort of compatibility setting as not every bios is compatible and putting in it a compatibility mode must have messed up the keyboard.

Aha! The switch is connected to the polling rate, and is to help with compatibility with older BIOS. If you set it to "BIOS" it apparently disables all the extra keys, including the Windows key. What did you set it to when you first changed it, and what did you set it back to?
