USB and Ethernet Ports Losing Power

Hey guys, I have a serious issue with my new build. All the parts are new, except for the GPU.

Specs:

Motherboard: MSI B350M Mortar (It is on the most current BIOS)

CPU: AMD AM4 Ryzen 5 1400

Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws V 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 3200 (running at 2933 because Ryzen)

Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 280X

PSU: EVGA 600B

OS: Windows 10 (All updates installed)

Issue:

Some of my USB ports and my ethernet port lose power and disconnect multiple times a day. They all lose power/disconnect at the same time. It usually happens after a few hours of using my PC. If a USB device is connected to one of those ports, I will hear a sound like when you plug in a USB stick, and then the device just stops working. At the same time, the ethernet disconnects and nothing short of restarting will get the USB or ethernet ports working again.

Only some of the ports are affected:

- Back two USB 2.0 ports on motherboard
- Ethernet port on motherboard
- front two USB 3.0 on case (connected to USB 3.0 internal header)

And I get the following clues from Device Manager:

- The Realtek Ethernet Controller says that something 'requires further installation'. This remains the same after uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.

- Even though the Device Manager shows that there are no driver issues for the AMD USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller when I start up my computer, after the issue occurs, there is a yellow caution symbol on that device and under properties it says that 'the device is not present'.

The other USB 3.0 ports on the motherboard continue to work fine. There are also a DisplayPort and USB-C port on the motherboard, but I have nothing plugged into those ports, so I don't know if they are also affected.

I Googled the issue and some suggested it was a driver issue. So I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers. I have tried drivers from the motherboard manufacturer, as well as drivers direct from the manufacturers website (AMD chipset for USB issues, Realtek for ethernet issues) none of that has worked so far.

Does anyone have any suggestions to help my figure this out?

Solution
If it was only usb 3.0 ports having an issue I would question drivers, but when USB 2.0 has the same issues, that sounds way more like a hardware problem.

Considering it is only some USB ports I would lean more towards motherboard failure, but PSU is easy enough to swap and check so worth it to try.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I also think it might be a power issue. The PSU is brand new. Just took it out of the box a few days ago. I have an old power supply, but it's only 430W. I'm reluctant to use such a low power PSU even temporarily. But I might try it. I've sent a support request to MSI. Maybe they have seen the issue before and know if it's their motherboard or the PSU.

Yes, this is a clean install using MS Windows 10 Media Creation Tool to make a bootable USB and it was installed on a new M.2 drive.

Yes, I will try an old PSU I have and see if that gives me any clues.
