So whenever I open minecraft the launcher starts and I see the minecraft icon on my task bar, so I click that and nothing happens, I get confused and try hovering over the minecraft window and when I do, nothing shows up... but it's open! I've tried deleting java and re-downloading it but that didn't work, I also tried getting JavaRA but that didn't work either. I've tried deleting minecraft and the launcher but that didn't work and now I don't know what to do!

What is JavaRA? I feel like I should know this.

Anyways. It sounds like something is blocking Minecraft from running properly. Check your AV program and see if it's blocking "javaw.exe" in any way.

On a side note, I recommend the MultiMC launcher for launching Minecraft if you're not running a FTB, Technic, or ATLauncher modpack; it's super easy to use, allows you to pick which version you want an instance to run with a simple window, and makes installing or removing mods literally three or four clicks (unless your mods are buried ten folders deep). It also has a console window that will update as you play, and supports direct upload to Pastebin.com. It can even track FTB instances.
