Hey folks, I hope your all having a nice day, but im wondering if you could help me out because im stumped.

The issue is everytime I run a game, say such as Mass Effect Andromeda or Prey (2017) or other games, after 10 - 15 minutes the PC will totally freeze and after another 10 seconds - restart. I think I have tracked down the issue to the memory but im not sure what to do about it or if there is a bios fix or something.

The memory I have has an XMP profile which runs it at 1866 mhz when on, and when it is on, I have the freezes. But when I disable the XMP profile and set memory to auto, it runs the memory at 1300mhz ish and never freezes or crashes. I have also manually set the memory to different speeds and voltages to see if that solves the issue but it does not. Also my computer temps are fine, CPU never goes over 55 degrees on load, and system temp is 30.

I would greatly appreciate some advice on how to run my memory at the speed it is meant to run at with the XMP profile.

My hardware and software is as follows:

Windows 10 64 OS
Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 2x 16 GB sticks - 32GB 1866 mhz RAM
I7 4790k @ 4.4 ghz CPU
Zotac Amp Extreme 980 ti GPU
250GB Samsung SSD
3TB Toshiba 7200 HDD
DVD RW Optical Drive.

Cheers :)
