Bit above budget but is lot more powerful than what you were getting and is completely worth it.
I skipped SSD because at this price point I would recommend giving importance to overall performance rather than having faster boot and load time.
Rest of the components are of very high quality and will last you very long.

Did you miss the part when he said he wants to record his gameplay? Why give him an i5 which'll be stuck at 100% usage constantly.
