My PC has been crashing recently after the new Microsoft update. Seems to only happen when I play games (Overwatch to be specific). Anyway after the update I noticed that in the game itself it used to show me my cpu/gpu temps but now it had gone away even though in the settings it is turned on. I never thought anything of it, but today I downloaded "Open Hardware Monitor" and its showing my CPU temp is over 110 degree Celsius! But I'm not really familiar with this program. It has 6 different temps showing but Im not sure what they are... If someone can clarify what "Temperature #3" is or if its even okay for it to be that high I'd appreciate it.

While taking this pic I wasn't running any other programs. I had just started the PC up.

My Specs
Intel i5-4670k CPU
24 Gig RAM
CX750M Corsair Power Supply
Z87 - A Asus Motherboard
XFX RX 480 GPU
Windows 10

thoe temp sensors can be wrong readings, i have one here that says -270°c

my pc is not freezing below absolute zero

if your pc were reaching 125°c, you would not only notice it, you would smell it, smell the burnt parts

in some mainboards temp 1 is a sensor under the cpu measuring cpu temperature, in there it says 32°c, your cores say 31°c, i think it is the same sensor on this case

the 125°c, think of it as it doesn't exist

also, it is not impossible to see sensors die, so the readings they offer vanish or goes crazy

when you can't trust your readings, turn off pc and touch heatsinks, the one on the cpu, the one on the mainboard, if one of those burns your finges, well, you have a temperature problem, if nothing is more warm than...

remember that touching heatsinks is a bit dangerous electrostatic discharges are a reality, so kill mainboard this way is possible
