USB 3.0 drive not large enough?

After recording my game play footage via OBS I try to cut and paste the raw footage video to my USB 3.0 128 GB thumb drive. I keep getting an error stating that the file is too large for the destination. How can that be when the file is only 4.19 GB in size. I get the same error when I try to copy the file to my smaller 32 GB 3.0 Thumb Drive as well. Both Thumb Drives should be way larger than what is needed. So I'm trying to think what may be the issue. Any suggestions?

Solution
If they're formatted using FAT32 there is a file size limit of 4GB. If there's nothing on the drive you need to keep, and you're only connecting it to Windows machine, you can reformat it using NTFS and it should copy just fine.

Yep. Sometimes for me NTFS doesn't work, however exfat does, so try both.

I was wondering if there was a size limit as to what could be copied and was hoping that it wasn't a global issue with thumb drives. It was wonderful to find out that the format file system was the problem. Reformatted as NTFS and it works just fine.
Thanks a bunch!!!
PS - Just an FYI, It was formatted as exFAT and that is the formatting that didn't work.

Huh, interesting (exfat always worked for me where NTFS didn't)

That is weird, exfat really should work too, and has the benefit of being cross-platform. OP, are you sure it wasn't FAT32?

Anyway, it doesn't matter if it only needs to be accessible on Windows machines, NTFS should work fine.
