I have this build for quite some time, about two and a half years. It always worked great.
One day I turned it on, and it instantly turn off and then on again on its own, with no message or anything.
This behavior was getting more ajd more frequent.
I noticed after I turn the power supple switch off and on, it helped.
However this last month, the computer can barely turn on. When it turns on, I have to leave it on because I know if I turn it off it will take many and many tries to start again.
What happens today is: I turn the power supply switch on, and then the power button. I see/hear the coolers and hard drives starting, however it wont beep, and wont show absolutelly nothing on the screen. The Num Lock light on the keyboard also wont turn on. If I leave it, it will stay like this as long as it takes. So I switch the power supply off, wait some seconds for it fully discharge, and try again.
After quite a lot of tries, I hear the beep, the post screen shows up and the Num Lock light on, and the pc turns on just fine.
I tried messing around with the memory sticks, graphic card, and no change, so I think the problem is cpu or mobo or power supply.
I have no clue whats going on. What is happening? Why it only POST after several tries?
Cpu: i7 4790
Power supply: Xfx 750w black edition
Mobo: Gigabyte h97m-d3h
Gpu: xfx radeon hd 5870
