Hello,

Please advise me im 39 just taking an interest in upgrading components etc. In my build I have a MSI Grenade A68h motherboard with a AMD A8 7600. My gpu is a Radeon R9 380 saphire. And 8gb ram. 750w powersupply.

After looking at the MSI motherboard homepage it lists what I can switch the cpu too. I only really play overwatch, rust a bit od D3 etc but mainly Overwatch i was experiancing horrible fos drops but that was due to my cpu heatsink being caked in dust took it apart and gpu now solid 70 fps on high settings which is fine for me.

After looking into it the reason for upgrade is i think my cpu and gpu may be bottlenecking . If anyone could take 2 secs to advise me id really appreciate it.

Shane

Solution
Stop worrying about GPU and CPU bottlenecking, every computer has it. It's inevitable.
Seeing you are fine with 70 FPS, there's no reason to upgrade. If your monitor is 60hz, any framerate uplift will become indistinguishably smoother.

Brand has pretty much no say in a PSU's quality besides those like Logysis which literally just sell bombs. Most brands of PSUs don't actaully make the internals. It is all about the model.

My power supply is made by Corsair, ah ok I didnt realise that about the bottle neck, you,re right 70 fps is fine I think when you see videos about ppl playing 100 +fps makes you a bit jealous :) will put an extra 8 gb in as im planning on that but until then I guess start planning a new build for next year
