My pc has been running very very slow lately.
Programmes are not responding most of the time and opening pc takes about 3-5 minutes also restarts take for ever.
I ve seen many other post and I think it's hard drive problem. However the most common solution I sew is local drive>properties>tools>check errors.
I do this but it doesn't seem to detect any problem!
Pls help I am writing this from phone it would be a pain to so from pc.
HDD: 931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162
Thx in advance.

Oh it now says me. Access denied as u dont have sufficcient priviledges. You have to invoke this utility running in elevate mode.

You (and your helper) got the syntax wrong - - correct syntax is chkdsk /f

not /chkdsk f

To start a command prompt as an administrator:

Click Start, click All Programs, and then click Accessories.

Right-click Command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

If the User Account Control dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what you want, and then click Continue.

To start a command prompt as an administrator (alternative method):

Click Start.

In the Start Search box, type cmd, and then press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER.

If the User Account Control dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what you want, and then click Continue.

I am not so good at this :p
So now it says chkdsk can not run because the volume is in use by another proccess.Would you like to schedule this to be checked the next time the system restarts ? (Y/N)
