ATM I've got AMD A8 6600K 750 Ti. My processor's pretty trash and I have no clue which one to upgrade it to. I have been thinking about FX-6300 but I am not sure yet. My budgets around 100-200 but no more no less. I also have a 420 Watt psu so I probably will need to upgrade that too where i also have no clue about. Need a PSU thats as cheap as possible.

I've asked this on a reddit aswel and they told me I should not even consider upgrading my CPU but get my 750 ti to a 1050 / 1050 ti. And then start saving for a complete new pc. I am not sure about this since I only play League, CSGO, h1z1, Rust. Could someone inform me on all this?

Thanks!

got it. that unit can only provide @ 204W. it provides more current on the minor rails 3.3V and 5v (almost 3x) than the 12V rail.
17A at 12V=204Watts.
Yes you need a new PSU.
if you look at the label on the s12II I suggested it can deliver twice the 12V power yours can. it has 2 17A x 12V rails for a total amperage of 34A

Would I also need a new PSU or not, should I get the 1050 or the 1050 ti? And would the performance boost be huge or decent?

What model 420W PSU do you have? when I know then I can answer not all PSU's are made equally or even remotely similar.

in games the GPU would probably be the better performer- you will only really notice the GPU improvement in games. general use and other tasks the CPU and faster RAM will shine through.

all around performance (red pill- more expensive and more work) or gaming performance (blue pill- cheaper and simple install). Choose.

look on the label and tell me how many amps are in the 12V column. if the unit is a true 420W unit it will be nearly 35, over 30 would be good. take the amperage in that column and multiply it by 12 that is the true wattage of the unit, if there are 2x12Vrails combine them first.
I would suggest the Seasonic s12II 420W or higher or the corsair CX450 or higher (grey label) both are high quality budget friendly units
