Hello,

After purchasing a new motherboard and cpu and installing them, I'm unable to display any video. By all appearances, the computer has booted successfully (fans spinning, LEDs working).

I've attempted everything in this list:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems

I don't have a case speaker but can get one if necessary. So far I haven't tried returning to the old cpu/motherboard.

Specs:
CPU: i3-7350k
MOBO: ASUS Z170-P D3
RAM: Got these from prebuilts. 2xDDR3 1333MHz 4gb and 2xDDR3 1333MHz 2gb
CPU Cooler: Stock Intel cooler (from the Sandy Bridge CPUs)
Video Card: ASUS Dual-GTX1060 3GB
Power Supply: Thermaltake Litepower 700
Hard Drives: Not actually sure of model number but I can check if necessary
OS: Windows 10
Case: Not using one right now
Nothing else is connected right now.

Thanks for any help!

Solution
2201 version to be exact is needed. Check the sticker on the motherboard, last for digits usually show which version of BIOS it has.

Thanks for the quick reply, alexoiu

Is there any way I can check for sure that it's the BIOS? My googling skills aren't up to scratch and I can't find any resources on ASUS' website

Ah, you were right. I think my bios version is 0221. Thanks very much for the help! I was so scared I had screwed up one of my components,

So to upgrade my bios I'd need a 6th gen cpu right?

Thanks again!
