I have an HP laptop, with an intel hd graphics 620 and amd radeon r7 m340. In the radeon settings i can set games to high performance. But my amd graphics card still has 0% usage in game. And my performances in game are very low. Can anyone help me pls? My drivers are also up to date.

Based on your fps and the hardware you are running, I'm pretty sure your gpu use is tracking the intel gpu and not the amd, even though the amd is being used while gaming. At high settings with an R7, you probably shouldn't expect much more than 30 FPS.

You can test my theory by trying to run the game on the intel gpu, and see what the usage reports. My guess is you will see it skyrocket.
The monitoring software is most likely only tracking the intel gpu. There might be a setting in your monitoring hardware to change that to track the amd version. Otherwise, find a different monitoring software.

You might need to go into your bios and select the primary graphics adapter as the radeon instead of the IGPU (intel). If so, it would be found in the "advanced" tab in the bios usually.

You can also try going into device manager (right click the start menu onwindows 10, and select device manager). Go to the display adapters section, and try disabling the intel gpu. Also check in the radeon settings (in device manager) that windows is not allowed to turn off the radeon to save power. If you are not plugged in, it might turn off the readeon so you don't drain your battery, even though you are trying to use it to game. Dumb, I know.

Let us know how those fixes work out.

I tried to disable the intel graphics card. But when i started a game i get 0-3 fps so that didn't work ;). And in the device manager how do you see if windows is allowed to turn off the radeon to save power?

Question from Navarre15 : "Switchable Graphics in BIOS"

I have an hp notebook 17-x169nb. I have an intel graphics 620 and an AMD Radeon R7 M340. My problem the amd graphics card won't run in game. I tried changing the settings in the control center to maximal performance but that didn't work. Then I tried to change it in BIOS screen but it doens't represent that option. I already updated my BIOS driver. Can anyone please help me?
