So just recently i upgraded my graphics card to radeon rx 580. Now i was thinking is it worth to also upgrade my CPU? At first i wasn't planning at all to do that, but i always play in fullscreen windowed mode and find overall performance of my PC while gaming and doing something else on a second display to be lacking.
-motherboard is msi B75MA-E33
- PSU is silentiumPC deus g1 500W
-16 gb DDR3 ram

If possible i don't really want to change my mobo (i know it's not great)
Any recommendations which CPU should i upgrade to? (it's lga 1155 socket)
Is it even worth to upgrade?
My motherboard doesn't really allow me to oc my cpu, so i won't do it.

EDIT: corrected some mistakes, made everything look better.

If a pc is not doing the job for you, it is time to change something.

I would go ahead and buy a used chip to upgrade.
So long as the upgrade does what you need it to do, fine.
Whenever it no longer does the job, it is time for a more major change.
Your 3350 will sell for $50-$70 on ebay.

Life is to short to suffer a slow pc every day.
Worth is something only YOU can determine.
Your I5-3350P has a 4 threads and a passmark rating of6113 and a single thread rating of 1747.
Your strongest supported upgrade would be a Xeon 8 thread E3-1290 V2 with a rating of 9862 and a single thread rating of 2160.
Perhaps $250 on ebay used.

The I7-3770 mentioned above is also 8 threads and cheaper. Still with a very good rating of 9323/2068.

If you do not already use a ssd, that would be one of my first performance upgrades.

I already have an ssd. This core i7-3770 looks promising, hovewer i can get one for the equivalent of 175$ (used one). At that price it feels like it's not really worth it.

If you need more threads to run more concurrent tasks, or if you need faster threads for games, you are looking at a bigger upgrade.

Think $300+ class processor like ryzen 1700 or I7-7700K
$150 for a suitable motherboard,
and $130 for 16gb of ddr4 ram.

I know, that's why i was thinking about upgrading my cpu without changing motherboard. It's just much, much cheaper. As i said i'd like to increase overall system performance while gaming and watching streams in the same time, or doing some other tasks.
Do you think i'd see enough of improvement from upgrading to core i7 3770 that justifies 170$ of a price?

EDIT: If i upgrade i'd like to keep the cpu for probably 3 years.
