Hi all, building first build, with amd 1600x and X370 GAMING PRO CARBON board. Have everything installed without case put completley back to see if it would run. Everything runs, debug lights are all off which is good, lights light up for the memory, the board is registering the ram.. all fans spinning including gpu fan. NO BEEPS, nothing comes up on monitor, mouse and keyboard do not turn on... I also noticed on the mother board the "gaming pro" lettering does not light up.. I have been checking all wires and have no idea what I did wrong... someone anyone help?

Msi has M-flash, it's a way to bios update without needing a cpu input.
Using a different pc, go to msi website and lookup the latest bios of your exact board, not a board that's close, it has to be the exact right board. Save that bios to a USB stick that is blank, no other data on it at all. Pristine formatted.
Stick the USB into the rear port, my msi board has one labeled for one as such, it got a green border. Boot the pc and wait, it'll search for possible boot options, finally getting around to the USB. From there that should eventually boot to bios. At that time, you use the bios M-flash option to flash the same bios from the usb to the mobo bios.
Do NOT turn off power in any way, for any reason or you can brick the entire thing, that means don't do this when you have brown outs, or in a storm etc, the pc MUST finish, totally uninterrupted.

M-Flash and Flashback are two different things. Have you ever tested it on a board featuring M-Flash only?

I can find no case speakers..

According to a sticker on the motherboard it says that the version is 7A32 1.1
On MSI compatibility tab on support website
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/X370-GAMING-PRO-CARBON.html#support-cpu
It says for my 1600x thre result column says "7A32v12.zip"

Does that mean it is not supported. Also I attached pictures of my board on and off

I was testing without GPU plugged in to see if it would start but thank you. Yeah the CPU is plugged in, even if bios was not supported I dont understand why the pro gaming thing is not lighting up... I am so very confused. I cannot think of another solution other than bringing this thing to a PC place.... :( hate to do that

Wait, did you just put the zip file onto the USB? Or did you unpack it first. You'll need to unpack the zip file prior as the pc has no zip read function at that level.

As far as I know, using the m-flash works on any msi board that supports it, flashback is only if the bios got bricked/corrupted it allows for bios recovery.

But all that aside, the bios shouldn't need updating, yet. So no worries.

The gpu isn't powered yet, according to the pictures, but it will need to be to get boot. The bios starts the POST process, part of which sees that a gpu is in the slot, but since it's not powered, it fails and you'll get nothing. Either pull out the gpu and go to monitor from the mobo, or plug in the gpu fully.

That's a new mobo and new psu, I'd double check the 20+4 and 4x4 power connectors. They should have been a real pita to seat properly and fully, enough that you'll think you'll break the board to get them all the way seated.

In the picture i was testing straight from mobo. But I plugged my gpu in and the fans run and everything. still nothin. I also tried usb again with just the files and unzipped and nothing.... Im lost haha, I wonder if i am missing a connection because the MSI and pro gaming logos do not light up on the board.

You should move on from any bios update problems. This board supports your processor right out the box. More recent bioses are simply updating and improving performance issues. Right out the box, no bios update is needed. Please do not tell me you are trying to fire this system up without all components being connected with their appropriate power connectors in place. If so, do not expect this system to post and boot.

I have every single component connected. Everything powers on .. the boards debug lights power on and flash and notify me CPU is in GPU is in and RAM is in. The board itself has illumination lights, they do not light up, nothing to monitor, nothing to usb connections.. I have been trouble shooting for the past 3 hours hence the pictures with GPU not connected. I am out of solutions, dead end.

Debug says nothing else? That's wierd. The boards illumination is switched, you can turn it on/off, so I don't see that as an issue. Yet. And you are positive the monitor is actually on the correct input setting for the cable attached. The hdd spins up. Sounds entirely like you are going through post process and it's finishing, but isn't getting signal. Try unplugging everything except the monitor and booting that way, some usb components can have issues and cause no boot.

Im an idiot. after snapping out numerous times I realized the carbon 170 only supports up to 2400 DDR ram and the Ram I have is 3000-DDR4. PC Builder said they were compatible and that is because it Overclocks to 3200
