Thanks to some convincing from a long-term PC gamer friend of mine—and my PS4's stellar imitation of a commercial plane on take-off—I've decided to start PC gaming.

The thing is: I only have a laptop. A Dell Inspiron 3135, to be exact. I'm wondering if Fallout 4 and Skyrim: Special Edition need 8GB of RAM each, or if the 8GB RAM is a base both games can run on.

Is it even possible to replace the RAM and processor in my laptop?

So, your Laptop is a weak POS no matter what you do to it. It's not really a "PC." It's just a terminal so you can access the internet.

You can upgrade the RAM on most laptops without too much trouble, but in your case, it won't help.
You can extremely rarely upgrade the CPUs in laptops, and not on any modern ones.

If you want an actual gaming PC, get $500 together.
