Hey i am just getting into building a computer. I want it to be for gaming and browsing the internet. I think the main game im going to play is ARMA 3. I just know from lookinh a round that the game works diffrent from most. I just dont know if my build will work. Also i dont plan on getting into over clocking since i am new i just dont think im ready for that. So if i need to change things let me know. I want to stick close to the price i have now. If it is less great.

Here is my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/R8LKVY

Don't ever try to build a PC for an ArmA/Flashpoint game. They run terrible on everything; so it would be an impossible task. Only time you will get high FPS with ArmA 3 is staring at the sky or the ground. As soon as the AI physics and calculations come into play; stuff will be dropping to the 30s/20s/teens.

Looks like a good build; the 1070 is a solid card and the 6600K is a good CPU; the higher you can overclock it, the better for ArmA 3. Might want to look at a more powerful cooler if you plan on doing some massive overclocking. I have a similar build with an i7 6700 (non-K) and a GTX 1070FE with 16GB of 2133Mhz DDR4; it's a great pc and does extremely well in games.

But no need to spend dime on an i7 if you are talking ArmA; it...
that build if yours will be solid enough for up to 1440p gaming, but since i5 only have 4 threads, on some games and apps (CPU intensive games for example) that require multiprocessing urs might be a bit lackluster against i7 performance / ryzen
that's the one thing u should know i guess, other than that u will be fine :D

So if i was going to put an i7 which should i choose? Keeping in mind i dont plan on over clocking as of right now. And would i have to switch other parts out?

You'd need a b250 or h270/z270.

Non overclockable build (swapped the PSU aswell because the nex g1 is not great quality)

Madmatt30 is right on the CPU, 7700 offer better price performance (+ u get a stock cooler) over the 7700k at the cost of lower ghz
btw, for 7th gen CPU u need the 2-series (like b250,h270,z270) so upgrade ur mobo to z270 instead
for the power supply, get a tier 1 / 2 PSU 650w 80+ at least bronze quality
here's a tier list to help u: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html or u can buy just what Madmatt30 suggest

But no need to spend dime on an i7 if you are talking ArmA; it makes practically no difference; maybe a couple FPS: http://www.techspot.com/review/712-arma-3-benchmarks/page5.html

This is what it starts looking like when you stop paying attention to the placebo hardware hype and actually benchmark when ArmA 3 is running a moderately sized scenario with less than 5 platoons in single player:

For reference; here's that same run @1080p Ultra on that same rig:
