Hi there! So I recently built my own pc but im having trouble getting it to recognize all my RAM sticks.

I have a MSI Motar b150m motherboard and I currently have 1 stick of RAM in, firstly the stick is a "Corsair vengeance LPX DDR4 16gb(2x8gb) 3000MHz 1.35v" but in my system information its only showing 8gb. I have two of these sticks I want to put in but when I put both of them in I get no signal and the red warning light comes on for DRAM.

I have checked the compatibility and the motherboard says it supports up to 64gb, I have also ran the memtest86 for each stick for any faults and tried booting up my pc with each stick at once to make sure they werent fried and each one works fine on their own.

I have read the manual and it says to use slots DIMM2 and DIMM4 first, however upon doing this it still gets no signal. I then read online that I should use the slot furthest away from the CPU (DIMM4) and that worked. I also have 64bit OS, I read as well that flashing/updating my BIOS could work but I dont wanna mess with that incase I screw anything else up.

Any help I would be immensely grateful for, thanks!

Solution
If both sticks are confirmed to work and error free via memtest86, the next step is to try all slots one at time, to find out if you have any non-functioning slots.
