Solution
A new MB won't help here, but a SSD certainly will.
Random shutdowns, particularly shutdowns under load often indicate a PSU problem (unlikely the Stallion is a decent if not stellar part) or overheating.
Grab a freebie monitoring app like HWMonitor and see what the CPU and GPU temperatures are like under load, either run a game with the monitor running in the background or use a benchmark/stress testing app like Unigine Valley to see how hot they get under load.
As a a guide: MAX CPU temperature is 65C under load, MAX GPU temperature <>85C, again under load.
^ that CPU and GPU complements well if u have a 1080p 60hz monitor. if u want to upgrade to a new platform, i would suggest a ryzen 1600 over the 7600k anyday.

Agree with Madmatt30: You might be looking in the wrong areas to improve performance.
If the system is generally slow: Long boot/load times, takes a long time to open windows etc then a SSD will be a great help here. When I first used one I was totally amazed at the improvements in load/save/boot times and just how much snappier and responsive the system became.
Despite only being a slow, old AMD FX6300, the CPU isn't actually that bad, but for gaming it could do with a faster graphics card, a 3Gb GTX 1060 won't be held back too much, if at all.

Is the cpu overclocked ? if not buy a 40$ cpu cooler and try overclocking , hovever i don't know how much that motherbnoard can handle . 2nd step buy a better graphics card , gtx 970 . if you buy a monster gpu you will be bottlenecked by the cpu .

My better advice is to sell the sistem as is , for i dunno how much around 350$ USD perhaps . Then buy a new sistem with intel 6600K and rx480/rx580 .
Ideally i'd go for a gtx 1070+ amd 1600x , if your budget allows it .

Will look into a new SSD because that's one of the main problems. Also pc just shuts off while playing certain games. Invest in a higher end GPU? How about MOBO?
