Hi ive recently purchased PNY - CS1311 120GB SATA ssd and i was going to format it so i could use it but i go to disk management to format it and only my hdd shows up. The ssd shows up in bios and in device manger. Ive switched sata and power cables only for the same thing. ive ran out of options, help!

Solution
i thought you already did that my mistake for not asking. also read up on TRIM. also now update the firmware of your SSD, it may save you any future trouble.

I updated the bios and nothing changed, ssd isnt recognized by firmware updater

RMA the SSD, something is not quite right with it. suggest go for different model or manufacturer

How can the bios be upgraded? My desktop has a old Intel motherboard.
(and I have the same problem - my 1 TB sata detected in BIOS but not in Windows 10)
