CPU AMD FX 8350
Motherboard MSI 970A-G46
Graphics Asus 2 GB DDR5 GTX-960
When I plug the HDMI cable from the graphics card into the monitor I just get a black screen with message no signal Monitor will go to power save mode, but when I plug a VGA cable from the graphics card to the monitor is brings up the screen.
Note, the hdmi port was previously working fine but since monitors power adapter stopped working and i bought a new one the hdmi port is not working as well. I tried to connect cpu with my hd tv via hdmi still no signal. I even bought a new hdmi cable.
Any ideas what could be causing this? Faulty HDMI port? Is it because the driver for the graphics card is not installed?
