I am going to buy a new core the i7 7700k, and with that a new cooler. My question is will a
Noctua NH-U9S do it for me? I also want to overclock it at some point ,will that make any complications in form from overheating?

Solution
If you have access to Cryorig products, you could look into the H5 or H7 coolers. Speaking of which where are you located? Would you happen to have a budget and a preferred site for purchase? The NH-U9S would do the job but if you had a better option, why not take that, right?

Since you're looking at the NH-U9S, I'm assuming you're building within an SFF system like a EVGA Hadron Air. Regardless, yes the cooler will be capable of cooling the CPU with a mild overclock. Mind you, if your ambient air temps are lower you could go for higher overclocks. As a confirmatory note, I used a NH-U9S on an EVGA Z170 Stinger inside an EVGA Hadron Air which was powered by an i7-6700K.

Mind sharing your full system's specs? You placed this thread in the motherboard section yet there's no mention of a motherboard ;)

Unfortunately i am currently living in Austria which makes it very hard to find all these parts. I looked it up on the Website I am buying all my other parts from, but I didn`t find any product named Cryorig.
