As long as you have a reliable PSU and that the air flow in your case is fine+that your BIOS is up to date, you're fine! Speaking of fine, which revision of your motherboard do you have? Seeing
there are a number of them(top right hand corner next to the motherboard model) you will need to make sure your BIOS as is can handle it or a BIOS update is necessary.
If you're on rev 5.0 then BIOS version F3 is what you need as a bare minimum before dropping in that FX-6300.
After you perform a CPU upgrade, it's customary to reinstall your OS and in doing so, make sure you've got the latest GPU drivers.
