I have a dell optiplex 755 mini tower (the biggest one) with a Q9560 quad core at 3ghz I'm looking for a graphics card to go with it something capable of desent gaming.I'm on a budget of £80/$80 It has to be quite short to fit in the case and much be single slot the issue I have come across is that there is 2 tall capacitors rather near the pcie x16 slot restricting it in hight as well
Has anyone found any graphics cards that fit around them or any way to move them?

Many Thanks
George

Card shorter than tom cruise, or a PCIe riser. Keep in mind with a PCIe riser you will lose some graphical performance. I would recommend something like an ATi 5770 and a PSU upgrade. Both, together can be obtained for under $80 USD. GL!

Thank you for the replies everyone I've decided on the low profile Gt 730 as I have seen someone use a gt 730 with a dual slot cooler while removing part of the shroud so the single slot low profile card should work.

I cut the bracket in 1/2. If the cover goes all the way to the back, trim it about 1/2 inch so the air can go out the rear vent. Of course no connectors on the 2nd slot helps. Mine was a PNY. Get a legacy BIOS card. An expansion slot blower or at least vented slot blanks help GPU temps. You can install it with the bracket removed to check it before you cut.
