AMD RYZEN 1700X max temp? (75 or 95)

Hello!
So i recently got a 1700x and i thought it was weird that the idle temps were 55-60 degrees (my room couldnt be THAT hot). Then i came across an article saying that the 1700X and 1800X had a temperature offset of +20 degrees in order to fool motherboards into more aggressive fan curves.

That leaves me with the following question:
Is the max temperature 95 degrees or 75 degrees since i dont know if they are counting in their offset or not.

This is the ultimate question that im also still trying to find the answer for and ive been using RyZen for 3 months now, thankfully not an X version.

However, im pretty cure that the 20oC offset has been fixed, so just make sure you bios is upto date.

But before, I see where you are coming from, 95oC max temp plus the 20oC offset = 115oC.
95oC including the 20oC offset, really means that the max it can do without the offset is 75oC.

Im aware that the max is 95. but do they mean their value + 20 degrees or do they count that in.

Thats why i ask if they mean 95 degrees (real degrees or, would be seen as 115 degrees on the computer (95+20) or fake degrees where they count in +20 (95-20 = 75 real degrees)

Ok thank you, so my computer would have to read 115 degrees for it to have reached its actual max.

So much confusion.

Are you overclocking, I wouldn't allow it to hit max, plus ryzen processors usually stop overclocking after it hits 75 degrees (real temp) anyways, and even then I wouldn't push it that much

Thanks, So confusing but I'm all set now. The temp offset has not been "solved" for me yet (waiting for bios update) but I've gotten used to counting off 20C from hardware-monitor, either way I'm in the clear with or without the offset but thanks for the help!
