Hello. I'm currently in the process of upgrading my pc's graphics card from the gtx 750 ti tob the gtx 1060 ftw+ 6gb. The 1060 has an 8 pin pci port.

The connector cable they gave me is this:

My problem is that the 8 pin turns into 2 6 pins but the only thing left on my power supply is another 8 pin.

The power supply is a corsair cx600m so it's powerfull enough. Should I head out and get an 8 pin to 8 pin connector or what?

Solution
the connector cable of your GTX 1060 is a 8 pin connector, and the part where your cable plugs in your GPU has 6+2 pin connector.
so just plug the 6+2 pin connector in your GTX 1060 graphics card and the 8 pin part to your PSU.

I have to go buy a 8pin female to 6+2 pin female adapter in order to do that. Thanks
