Hello! Im looking for help about this motherboard ASRock H270 Pro4 I already updated the bios once it had version 2.00 but I saw a new version came out so I wanted to update to the latest. Last time I used the usb update method but now I wanted to use the internet flash method. The updater got stuck at 57% and after like 15-20 minutes I had to reboot it because it doesnt looked like it want to move anymore. After reboot no post or any display. Looking to recover the bios somehow, I tried formatting a flash drive and copying the bios file into it but no luck so far. :(
Thank you for the help!

I understand but what now?

For future reference, never update the BIOS just to have the latest BIOS. It is recommended to only update a BIOS to correct an specific error, or to gain additional functionality such as support for a CPU that wasn't available when the motherboard was manufactured(and then only if you want to use that new CPU).

Check this one, reply near the end of thread http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1709981/asrock-z77-bricked-bios-update.html
I finally got it working. What I did was
1. Unplug the PC from the wall
2. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds
3. Remove the CMOS battery for 10 minutes
4. Put it back in
5. Insert the USB with the EXTRACTED bios into a fat32 USB. WITH NO FOLDER JUST THE FILE
6. Then pressed the clear CMOS button on the back of the motherboard
7. After that it started installing, then it restarted several times.

But I just bought it :(
Will the RMA cover it though?

You could try..They might not honor it as it was bricked by something you did...

I used their feature with their official bios and it got stuck how is that my fault? If they know its buggy why dont they remove it or put a warning on it. If I dont get a free replacement or repair next time I will just stick to an asus or msi board where there is atleast recovery methods for a situation like this.

As I said, you can try. Either they will honor their warranty or not. What have you got to lose?

Okay. :p
They should RMA it since it wasnt my fault, it was caused by a bug. Its not my fault the updater got stuck. They should make some failsafes for this kind of stuff. Its not like I copied the wrong bios file or something.
