Hello, i have an issue with my pc.
I bought a new graphics card today from amazon and it worked fine for a couple of hours.
I tried gaming and it was fine then all of a sudden my pc crashed and a fan in my case i dont know what fan, started spinning really loud and tured off. Then the pc would not turn back on.
I tried unplugging the psu from the graphics card and try to turn it on again but then i saw smoke coming out of the card so I shut it off immediately.
I suspected that my power supply was dead but then i installed my old card and after a few retries it turned on normally.

Please if anyone could explain what could be the issue?

Definitely a "fried card" condition marios_kalia. Any overclocking done? Sounds like it overheated. Examine your card and motherboard like what aldan said. Any components with signs of failure?

I guess you are right. I also think the gpu got fried. I will try it on a different pc today to see what happens. Also I need to mention that my power supy is very old and also i did not overclock the card at all.
I will contact amazon for a replacement today. I hope they will accept.
Thanks guys.
