I was wanting to play Borderlands 2 with some friends only to discover I cannot run it well even on the lowest settings. Every site I have gone to says I can run it medium-high and I meet all the minimum and some of the recommended requirements. My friend has a laptop with almost identical specs to mine and he can get around 40fps on medium settings. I get below 20 while on the lowest, especially in combat. My laptop is an HP Pavilion and has a 2 core i7-5500 (hyper threading. 2.40GHz) with 6GB of DDR3 RAM and I'm running on the newest version of Windows 10. I've done all the driver updates. For me, Dead Space ran at a constant 40fps on the highest settings and XCOM: Enemy Unknown did the same. I can provide additional information as needed. Any help is appreciated.

Minimum System Requirements include:

OS: Windows XP SP3.
Processor: 2.4 GHz Dual Core Processor.
Memory: 2 GB XP, 2 GB Vista.
Hard Disk Space: 13 GB free.
Video Memory: 256 MB.
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8500.
Sound: DirectX 9.0c Compliant.

And considering it's a real old game, it should be able to run rather decently over your laptop. try updating your gpu drivers, direct x and bios. speaking of gpu, can you name your gpu and its specs here?

From what I've found, I believe it's a Intel HD Graphics 5500 Mobile. Here is a link to a website I found that shows the specs. http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php?gid=2575&gid2=304&compare=intel-hd-graphics-5500-mobile-vs-quadro-fx-1700
