Basically, that. New OS on my new SSD and suddenly my Blu Ray drive isn't working. I don't remember if it was successfully used on my old HD since I don't use the drive too often, but when I want it, I need it. I was able to dig up an external drive (not Blu ray) and it was detected by USB and runs fine. But I bought the blu ray drive to use and not to have a fancy paperweight in my PC.

The Drive is powered on and opens/closes fine.

I cannot find it in my Device Manager, So I assume it is one of three things. SATA cable, SATA port, or Drivers. I have switched the cables and ports and other devices work in those ports and with those cables (as far as I know, anyway, unless I've missed something).

I don't remember if it came with a disk of drivers or not with the drive.

This is my drive

Any ideas? I can't seem to find the drivers online.

In the boot order tab, I see the option to boot from a CD rom. Otherwise in the (first..?) tab I see SATA 1-6, all empty.

Also, I tried plugging it into my dad's computer and it wasn't even detected. I'm sure the drive is bad. I contacted the manufacturer and they will replace it since it's within the warranty period. That's going to take about a week, sadly. But at least I don't have a pressing project that needs a blu ray drive. Thanks though.
