Hi I'm new to pc building (This is my first one) and I wish to know if my parts are compatible. I know I can check on pcpartpicker but I saw a video from a pro who said pcpartpicker doesn't always have the most reliable compatibility checker. Here are my parts

Intel - Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor

Cooler Master - Hyper 212 Plus 76.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler

Gigabyte - GA-Z170X-Gaming 5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory

Deepcool - TESSERACT SW ATX Mid Tower Case

Rosewill - 600W Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

I used my previous graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 6850)

THank you.

My budget is 600 dollars max but I hope to keep it in the 500's. I have changed the partlist a little with somefeed back my friends have given me. I want to play games like PUBG, Overwatch, Destiny 2, and GTA:5 at around 60 fps. I am thinking about getting the 1060 6gb but that raised the price a lot from what I want it to be around. If I am not able to get the 1060 6gb which gpu do you think would be better for me to run? The 1050 Ti with 4gb of vram or the 1060 3gb with 3gb of vram? I thought vram was what made a gpu better than something else (still a noob in pc building) but I heard it isn't so what is better, here is my partlist you can edit it freely and give me the list link to let me see it. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tmWg6X.

VRAM doesn't necessarily make a GPU better, all depends on the GPU core itself along with various other factors. :)
The 1060 3GB is probably the way to go, and you're also missing a fair few components, i'll fix it up a little for you.
Did you need windows in the budget?

I've left room to upgrade to a Ryzen 1600 and another 2x4GB of RAM upgrade (Use the same kit preferably) into the future.

Both the cpu and gpu are entry level components. Will give consistent 45+fps in ultra, perfect for 60hz gaming. But the mobo and psu has enough juice/space to accommodate a 1600/1080 combo.

The parts I was missing were ones I already had in my pc now that I thought were good enough. These parts are just the psu and 1TB of space with windows 10. Also do you think that the r3 1200 will be enough to run games like pubg and destiny 2?

Also my friend has said that the 3gb 1060 doesn't have enough vram to run without constant frame drops or even constant crashes would you be able to confirm or deny this?

So would playing on like all medium be fine or should I just play on all low in order to have the best experience

Some games like assassin's creed and shadow of mordor actually show you how much vram you require for the eye candy you chose. So no problem in games like that.
Only ultra is tough with 3gb vram. I think you would be good with medium-high. Try reducing the shadow quality first. Then the other textures and effects.
