Literally tried everything
(fyi i have no optical drive this is why i used usb)

List of things I tried:
Updating Bios
Setting my AHCI to RAID
Switching USBs
Using the USB 2.0 port not the USB 3.0 port

Windows USB 3.0 utility doesn't work for me tried downloading it and it's just stuck on cleaning up mount directory

(fyi i downloaded the windows 7 iso and used the windows usb installer from microsoft)

I'm on the brink of giving up can someone give me any suggestions because the tech support guy near me wants to charge $99 to install freaking windows and i'm debating on doing that...

PC SPECS:
I5 7600k
Asus z270 mark 2
GTX 1070 6gb
16 gb ram

I have nearly the exact same situation. I only have USB 3.0. I cannot get anything to read from them except for very initial boot to windows to get that error. I did get a drive and try that, it worked, then gets stuck on not finding the SSD because there are no drivers, and none I can add as...

Set it from BIOS to AHCI or IDE, i think you would need extra drivers for RAID. You can change this setting from the registry after installing windows. After making the change from regedit, reboot and change it from BIOS also. (tutorials on how to do all this can be found on the internet)

I have nearly the exact same situation. I only have USB 3.0. I cannot get anything to read from them except for very initial boot to windows to get that error. I did get a drive and try that, it worked, then gets stuck on not finding the SSD because there are no drivers, and none I can add as it cannot see anything but the CD and XBoot. I have tried all of the above as well including the Microsoft Utility.

I also tried this:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25476/Windows-7-USB-3-0-Creator-Utility
It did not work for me maybe it will work for you?

The issue it is asking for is the USB 3.0 driver to continue because it no longer sees it due to how it boots up:
1. BIOS loads BOOTMGR (whether EFI or BIOS emulation...does not matter).
2. BOOTMGR loads the boot.wim image in RAM (reads it through BIOS/UEFI driver)
3. BOOTMGR gives control to the extracted-in-RAM image - at this point, the USB3 is lost as windows will kill all BIOS/UEFI control
(Borrowed from Mathew7 in another post)

I'm on to trying to see if Windows 10 on a USB will work...

if you have a working system, create an install partition on your hard drive. (4gig is usually adequate for win7 install media).
open the iso in daemon tools or other virtual drive software to see the install files. select all and copy the files(not the iso) to
the install partition. open the partition in "computer" and click "setup". good luck. cheers.
