Can anyone help me or guide me to help on the internet to explain how to use a multimeter to read my voltage ready points?

I have an Msi Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard and an Asus Strix Geforce GTX 1060 6GB OC edition with voltage read points on them.

Ive never done this before but I am told when you know how that it gives you the most accurate reads compared to cpu z and other sofrwares.

Solution
First, set the multi-meter voltage readout to 20VDC (the computer voltages are around 12VDC and less).

Next, use an alligator clip and firmly connect the multi-meter negative to the ground on the computer.

Now you are left with the multi-meter positive lead. Touch that lead to the different voltage points. Be careful not to short circuit anything with the multi-meter + lead (the voltages readout points are quite close to each other).

Good luck!

Thank you Ubrales that helps.

Well firstly 13thmonkey I want to further my knowledge and skills, I want to see the difference between the software and the voltage point read outs and as I have them I would like to see them work.
I know there is the chance of risk if shorting things if I am not accurate with the meter but tinkering with my rig isnt something I do lightly, that is why I always ask on here first, watch instructional videos, read up on it, plan it then execute.
All the components have fail safes so i'm sure It cant go that wrong.
