Hey,

I have my i7 7700K running at 5.1GHz, just wondering what all you guys are running yours at and what voltages to compare :)
My CPU cooler is the Corsair H110i GT

My profiles
5.1Ghz - 51x mult, 100.0bclk, - 1.35v max temp 88c
5.0GHz - 50x mult, 100.0bclk, - 1.265v max temp 75c
4.8Ghz - 48x mult, 100.0bclk, - 1.2v max temp 70c
4.5Ghz - 45x mult, 100.0bclk, - 1.05v max temp 62c
(all max temps are at 100% utilization)

Solution
I bought the Rockit 88 kit and relid piece. Also their glue and Coolaboratory paste. Then I bought Noctua's thermal paste for the heatsink/cpu. I followed videos on youtube (Rockit 88 website has some links) and chose a path that seemed safest and made most sense.

Once I got my system back up and let it run for a day. I then compared the temps. In normal tasks the temp dropped by 20C. In gaming it dropped by 10-15C. All in all I spent $70 to do so. I'm sure I can sell the stuff for at least $40, so really I spent around $30 to get much better temps. The glue and thermal compound that Intel used was such crap. I highly recommend doing so but don't rush it. Make sure you know what not to do and apply care.

I'm in Asia so my batch...

Totally agree. To hit 5.0GHz on only 1.265V with great temps.....lucky! I think the 7700k really needs a AIO to hit good levels. I'm struggling to hit 4.7GHz on so so air cooler.

Yea haha, my batch number is L639F976 which from what I've heard is one of the best overclockers. My H110i GT cost me 160 AUD but it was worth it, I got my FX 8320 to 4.8GHz with it when I had it installed on that. It is kinda loud though. Liquid cooling is kinda needed for the 7700K though if you wanna overclock, temperatures fluctuate like crazy, drives me crazy when I hear the pump ramping up and down because the CPU spiked to 60c opening chrome.

I had the same experience....temps constantly jumping around and fans were running higher than I would like. After 2 weeks I finally said it was enough. Bought my Rockit 88 kit and ripped the 7700k open and resealed it. Now it is functioning like a chip should. As for overclock, waiting for a new AIO to come out and pounce on it. If you want to know about delidding feel free to ask. It was the best thing I could have done for the chip.

Oh, how did you find out about the quality of your batch #?

Thats awesome, how did you de-lid? Also, what compound did you use to replace stock and how much did temps come down?

And I just googled the batch number on my box, which showed multiple threads with people saying they were getting 5.1+GHz overclocks on them, someone hit 5.3GHz with it delidded. There was also a spreadsheet that came up that showed what voltages people needed to run at 5GHz, I'm assuming its an average of other peoples results, but it does line up with my batch number needing around 1.265v

I'm in Asia so my batch number is probably one that is being sold in Asia. I haven't had any luck finding others with same batch number.....we'll see.
