Adding more RAM?

Hi guys!
I was thinking of adding more RAM and was wondering if I can just add two 4gb sticks to my computer to get 16gb since I already have to sticks of 4gb?
Or do I have to replace the sticks I use now with new ones instead?

Usually you want to buy ram in kits. 4x16 is the kit you would be referring to. As long as you make sure you get the same brand, speed, and timings of ram, it will probably work. It usually depends on your motherboard.

Basically, it'll probably work, but ram is sold in kits for a reason.

Yeah there are still two slots left and I was thinking of buying exactly the same model of ram as I already have and just putting it in the two slots that are empty. Would that work?

Again, probably. There aren't any guarantees with it, but you can usually get it to work
