Hello, i would like to upgrade my pc over the next couple of months but i am unsure where to start! My current system is

AMD fx 6300 black edition
AMD r9 380 4gb
gigabyte ga78lmt motherboard
12 gb ddr3 hyper x fury 1886 mhz
EVGA super nova 750 bronze

The main upgrades i have been looking at are the new Sapphire nitro plus rx 580 8gb
and the AMD 1600x cpu or the AMD fx 9590

first off the cpu. Is the 9590 a good match for the rx 580? the reason i would like this cpu is that it will be cheaper to buy the 9590 and new motherboard than to go with the 1600x and have to buy motherboard and new ram as well "i am working on a budget"

And next question to be what would i be best upgrading first the cpu & motherboard or the gpu? keeping in mind my current system i could use the new parts with what i have already until i can save enough for the new parts!

any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Solution
u can keep ur gpu. its still a good one. upgrade cpu/mobo/ram i would recommend the 1600 with stock cooler. u wont need to consider upgrading ur 1600 for a long while in that case ;)

What will you be using the PC for? From what I've read the 9590 is more trouble than it's worth and it's on a dead end platform. You should get ryzen even if you have to get a lesser processor than the 1600x to fit your budget. Even a 1400 Will be a big step up from the fx 6300.

thanx for answering

Mainly using it for gaming, i am not to concerned with maxing out every setting though as long as i can get smooth gameplay at 1080 or 1440 res!

And how would the 1400 or 1500 ryzen fair with the rx 580 will i get much of a bottleneck playing games like, fallout 4, mafia 3, farcry series?

I do have a separate cooler from artic "nothing special" but i am not to concerned with over clocking as i have no experience!

looks like the best choice would be to invest a little more money and go for the 1500 or1600 over the 9590!
one last question what should i upgrade first? with the system i have now which upgrade would benifit me most?
