Just wanted to make a quick question, if I bought a H110 mobo and I have it once I turn it on with the pentium g4560 how can I found out if it came pre-flashed or if I have to flash the bios? Thanks in advance

Solution
Once you've installed it properly, if it posts, that is, you see the BIOS, then that means it's working. Once in the BIOS, check what CPU it is recognizing to be installed. If it shows the correct CPU, congratulations, your board is compatible! If it is not pre-flashed, the computer won't do anything when the power button is pressed, that is, it won't post.

Hope this helps. Cheers!

If it powers on and your screen lights up and you can get to the bios then its fine, if it switches on, fans etc spin and you cant get the screen to display anything, then you need a Sky Lake CPU to flash the bios or take the board back.

If you try to boot your PC, with a G4560 CPU and H110 motherboard, and your system isn't posting/you're getting a black screen, you'll know it isn't flashed.

Need to ask the seller if the BIOS has been updated before you buy anything.

That's just Techsource being Techsource. I'd avoid any of his content.

His BIOS was clearly updated before hand, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to do anything with the PC. He just mentions the BIOS at the end as a procedure of updating all your drivers. It's not really necessary at that point, his BIOS is already updated to support the G4560 from the start.

Gotcha so if it's not already pre-flashed is the only way of me flashing it would it be getting a compatible cpu that I can boot up with or is there any other way of updating it? Thanks

Yup, if its not already updated, then you will need a Sky Lake CPU to update it, or take the board back and change it for a 200 series board as already mentioned, or you can ask the shop you are buying it from if they will update the bios for you.

So I just built it and I turned it on, everything lit up fans ran and then around 5 seconds later it restarted and it does an endless loop of that, what does that mean?

Your CPU isnt supported, the board doesnt understand the microcode built into the CPU.
