Hi everyone, this is my first time building a gaming pc and after a lot of research I've decided on these parts. Some feedback on the build would be nice. What I am particularly concerned about is if my i3 6100 will be ok with a Gtx 1060. I am also wondering if a CPU cooler is necessary. Any other feedback/ advice is much appreciated because I am new to this.

Thanks!

G4560 performs on par with the 6100 , 2x4 memory for dual channel mode , B250 and a better PSU.

That looks ok for a cheap build. If you want to save even more, the G4560 is almost as good as the i3 6100 for half the price, HOWEVER any 100 series motherboard would need to have a BIOS compatible with Kaby lake, I'm thinking by now they all should. If you are at all interested in the G4560 it would pay to check the motherboard says it can support 7th generation, otherwise you'll need a skylake cpu to update the BIOS to support 7th gen.

Anyway, the GTX 1060 3GB is about right for the i3 6100 or G4560, there will always be some games where the CPU is the limiting factor and other times it will be the GPU, but overall it should be a good match.

As for a CPU cooler, it not necessary on such a low powered CPU, the stock one will be just fine. How many fans does that case come with? Be sure you have good air flow through the case, if you have this everything else will run much cooler.

Didn't see this before I replied, see you're suggesting the G4560 too, it's a great cpu.

great thanks so much! I see two fans included with the NZXT case. Might I ask why the higher power supply though? Just want to know the reasoning behind it.
