so I am not 100% certain that its my motherboard heating up that is causing this problem, but recently when I am playing csgo I am getting major lag in game.

Although my fps and ping is good so it doesn't make much sense to me. I downloaded a program called speccy and used it to look at temperatures of my gpu, cpu and mobo while playing games.

When I play CS:GO my motherboard (ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z170-A (LGA1151)) goes to crazy heat levels. When I am playing it normally goes to around 75 degrees celcius to the high 80s but today it went above 90. I searched up the average temperature people had with my MOBO and they all had a much lower temperature than I am getting I am not sure what the issue is any advice is appreciated, I am not great with computers.

Are you talking about the motherboard temps or the CPU temps? Speaking of which, you forgot to post your full system's specs since this is akin to a troubleshooting thread.

List them as:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
Chassis:
OS:

We will also need to learn if you used other hardware monitoring tools like HWMonitor to monitor your temps. An ideal way to gauge the temps is to see what your idle temps are and reboot to BIOS and see what the temps are in BIOS. You might also want to see if your fans are pushing air across the motherboard and effectively through the case.

Is your motherboard BIOS up to date?
