Very Hot Processor?

I have a Intel Core i7 920 with the stock cooler, I just got this tower today for cheap and put everything I needed in it, and it had an i7, I open 2 tabs, and according to speccy it goes to 94 degrees Celsius! The computer isnt lagging at all. and there isnt much dust in it, and putting my hand near the fan, I can feel it pulling in a lot of air... I dont know if the sensor is messed up, and its THINKING its hot, or what.. Because I highly doubt its actually 90-100 degrees C just sitting there doing nothing.. It says the idle, where I have ONE tab open (This one) and speccy, its at 72 C, the motherboard also is hot it says. Its also going really high, like 57-90.. But I feel like if these both actually were the temperature it says, it would be lagging really bad and being glitchy, but its working great.

So, is it just messed up sensor, and its just thinking its hot, or is it actually almost 200 degrees... (I feel like its the first one because I think it would break if it was 200 degrees) And it sucks because when it does go super high the computer gets SUPER loud, or at least the processor fan does.. Like it sounds like a jet engine firing up..

Solution
Try Core Temp.

It's possible the heatsink needs to be reseated. 100c would not break your CPU, but it would cause it to throttle.
well, first things first, if you can, get something other than the stock cooler.

Next, I would try something other than Speccy, just for the sake of it. I like Speedfan

Next, run a torture test. If your temps are as high as they are, you should fail a Prime95 test pretty quickly

Yep, reseated the heatsink and it fixed it, running at 30-50c :)
