Hello,

I going to buy budget computer with APU.If You offer me other options please consider price.

A12-9800 is more problematic option for me,because I need to buy it from Germany so guarantee, etc.
It's bundle pack with dedicaded MB ASUS A320M-C.

I don't need good GPU I don't play FPS.Maybe I would like to play Witcher 3 where 720p@medium is fine for me.Mostly I use my PC for : 3 browsers at once with YT or streams, gimp 2 and few/several programs like sumatrapdf or scanner/printer tools.
So I can tell that multi-tasking is my goal.
PC with Ryzen 1700 will cost ~2.5 times more so I want to buy budget PC now and maybe change it in 2-3 years.

Comparing of A10-7890K and A12-9800 :

Socket : FM2+ vs AM4
L1 : 192 KB (code) / 64 KB (data) vs 192 KB (code) / 128 KB (data)
L2 : 4096 vs 2048
Instruction set : AVX+BMI1 (?) vs AVX2
GPU R7 with 512 shader cores : 866 mhz vs 1108 mhz
RAM : DDR3-2133 vs DDR4-2400

My question are :

Is difference between ddr3 and ddr4 visible on that low pc ?
Will I be able to mount future Ryzen APU AM4 on ASUS A320M-C ?
What MB and RAM You would recommend for A10-7890K (not the cheapest MB may be mid-cost,I would like to have one PS2 port, but it's not a condition).
Is AMD cooler enough for those APUs ?

Thank You for all replies.

Yes there is a different. You will see a notice speed increase. Not to mention, it offers more longevity and has a better upgrade path.

You will be able to mount a future ryzen APU on a A320m. However, don't expect to play and games until you get a proper GPU.

Being taht it is a very old board and chipset, I would recommend the A88M https://pcpartpicker.com/product/yVwqqs/asrock-motherboard-a88mg31

It should have a...
Well that's the thing, you WILL need a GPU if you plan on playing Witcher 3, at ANY resolution. Maybe not a highend GPU, but something like the GTX 1050 Ti should do you just fine if are doing 720p. What is your budget? Maybe you can get around that APU, because honestly, it's weak CPU and should only be used for web broswing and simple computing.

@Herc08 I don't really want to play games.Sorry for posting uncomplete post - missclick.
@Corwin65 What about multi-tasking is 2-cores Pentium with HT better than highest APUs ? Let's say I start chrome+firefox+opera+gimp2+vlc+hearthstone of course I plan to run windows 10 on SSD like Kingston V300/400

It should have a included cooler, so yes, it is enough.

As far as that 4560, it will allow you to get more done, and offer a nice upgrade path with the DDR4 as I mentioned above. You will even see better improvements once you are on an SSD. But at that point, I would recommend getting 16GB of RAM.

FM2+ CPUs aren't something that can be recommended anymore, it would be like recommending an i3-4XXX series CPU for budget gaming. Buying new PCs on old platforms doesn't pay in the end.

The A12-9800 on the other hand, while not offering hhigh performance itself, at least uses a modern platform (AM4). Combined with some decently fast RAM it should just about be able to manage the Witcher 3 at acceptable framerates, but expect to need to upgrade both CPU and GPU when you want more performance (unless the Raven Ridge APUs come out by then)

Thanks for all answers. After studying lots of charts I will probably decide to buy G4560@ASRock B250M-HDV which is recommended here in few topics.

Now I'm thinking about ram (single for now) :
Is ADATA DRAM PREMIER 8GB DDR4 2400MHZ (AD4U240038G17S) CL17 without radiator enough or should I invest in KINGSTON HYPERX FURY BLACK 8GB DDR4 (HX424C15FB/8) CL15 with radiator ?

I want to use 1 ssd(kingston v300 probably) and 2-3 old hdd (~30w per one).
How much power do I need - considering future CPU change to middle i5 8th gen if Pentium won't be enough ?

Chieftec GPS-500A8 costs same as GPS-400A8 so I probably decide to this one.
I was checking classic Zalman's towers like T3 and T4,but what about futuristic Zalman M1 ? Is it good for this PC ?

What do You think about whole configuration ?

[EDIT]
Because of GPU performance and small price diffrence I'm considering Pentium G4600.Is this good idea ?

There's nothing wrong with the G4600, or even the G4620. They're just not as competitively priced, but that doesn't make them bad at all.
