I've got quite a decent machine, but it's starting to give in. For example GTA V is close to unplayable at this moment. I've checked the task manager and it seems like it's the RAM memory that's working the hardest. I've got 8 gigs of RAM currently, and when playing GTA it shows me that it's using around 7 gigs. The processor seems fine from what I can see looking at the task manager and the GPU is new and not a problem. Here are my specs, what do you guys think, do I need to upgrade the RAM, or is it something else that's failing?
CPU: Intel(R) Core i5-3470 (4CPUs) @ 3.20 GHz oc and running @ ~3.6-3.8
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 STRIX
RAM: Corsair DDR3 2 x 4GBytes (8gigs)
Motherboard: MSI B75MA-P45 (MS-7798)
Power Supply: Something around 420 W
Drivers: I've got the latest drivers of NVIDIA
If you guys would think that RAM is the issue, would I then have to buy two more RAM memories? Because the fact that you can only have either 1 memory, but if it's more than one it has to be an even number? And would it have to be the EXACT same type as the two older ones, or is the important thing that it's DDR3 and also 4 gigs each? I've got two out of four memory slots occupied by my current memories.
