EKWB water cooling fittings

I think you're referring to the CSQ fittings but yes EKWB, as you've suspected, they have gone through 2 different types of angled fitting designs(in total). The other being the AF range of angled fittings. Which one do you have?
In terms of improved, the often improve the O-rings(that seals the fittings from leaks) without much fanfare. You could try and contact EKWB and see if they will replace them unless they've been subjected to torture...
