I know, I know, your probably thinking yes its supposed to be crimped, or some scratches/slight bends are ok, but please, hear me out.

I got the back plate installed, was about to remove the fan and begin installing the heat sink, and saw the side of it, I panicked thinking I damaged it when I grabbed it. I pressed against a different corner and no major bending, whew not made of tinfoil. Still it's looking not so great... I'm fairly sure it will work, but I'm concerned about airflow. I figure since its just a corner it will still work and there isn't a need to replace it, but dang, fins so bent they are actually touching each other. There is a slight crease in the box at roughly that height so I'm guessing it was dropped or thrown in the warehouse, no way they would ship it like that.

I digress, can I get community input on run with it or try to rma?

Thank you Gam3r01, vrumor, and USAFRet! 2-1 to just bend em back, and that is what I ended up doing, it works. If I planned on showing it off and wasn't in a hurry to get the new pc running I probably would try to RMA, but I don't want to pay for the shipping back, nor wait on it, and it is technically functional, so.... Still looks bad from some angles, but I got it where fins are not touching, and its going to stay hidden in the case anyway, so not a big deal. Something else I learned is that this particular heatsink, the hyper 212 evo wiggles a little bit after seated. I just might decide to go water cooling next time...

Thank you all again!
