Hey, I have a Cooler Master Silent Gold 1200w, its 6-7 years old, no complains.

My question is: Should I keep using it?

Its in tier 3, probably because of the ripple, which is less of an issue when under 900w load and within spec in full load.

I bought a new build, with sli 1080 HoFs plus 7700k.

I was looking at a Corsair RM1000x.

I don't want to buy a new PSU though, not much money left.

All reviews say Silent Gold is a solid PSU.

Any input is welcome.

Since having no troubles and it having a 5 year warranty do i think that you could try it.It has all the protections it needs and is of decent quality so nothing wil go horrible wrong. ;)

You could have thought of just buying one gtx 1080 ti? Could have used the leftover to get a new psu,not that with one of these you would need to,just saying. ;)
