So I am planning buying an used Gtx 970 this summer. I have decided that I would rather buy an used gtx 970 than a new a GTX 1050 Ti since their price doesn't differ that much and the 970 should be much more powerful.

And my question is that my I3 4330 will be enough to run the game? Not planning on upgrading cpu ATM though.

Yes, the i3-4330 + GTX 970 can run Witcher III. Performance depends on you in-game settings and resolution. I can't find a sample gameplay with the same CPU + GPU, but, below is a game performance test using an i3-4170 + GTX 970 (w/ 16GB RAM) in High Detail (w/ Hairworks On). Note that the i3-4170 is slightly better than the i3-4330...

Results start in 4:30 of the video:
Avg: 59.842 fps
Min: 10 fps
Max: 95 fps

Thanks for your reply.
I am planning to play at 1080p at like high/ultra settings. Not sure if hairworks is important or not and I don't know if it uses a lot of resources. I don't insist on playing at 60 fps, anything between 30-60 fps should be fine. Compared to the test my system only has 8 gigs of ram but I don't think that would be a problem.
