Should i clean the thermal paste off the CPU ?

My kraken X62 died in just two months and after a month i got my replacement new unit.
Now my CPU is also two months old
should i clean off the CPU from the pre-applied thermal paste which was provided by Kraken X62

When applying a new CPU always apply a fresh coat of thermal paste, That begin said you don't have to regularly change your thermal paste unless you see your temps getting hotter over several months could be due to it needing to be re applied. Just apply a pea size to the middle of the CPU and it should spread evenly. Most new watercooling comes with thermal paste so you just have to clean your CPU with isopropyl alcohol as it dries the fastest.
