Hey so at the end of the month I'm starting this whole "AMD" build system with CF RX 580's and 16GB 3200Mhz Memory. I've heavily decided I'm going to be using the Ryzen 7 1700 since I can just overclock it to the 1800X performance. I don't care about heat or noise ... I was wondering If i could possibly achieve my 4ghz OC with the included Wraith Spire? I'd switch the fan speed manually up to 100%. Watched a view videos . Ill link them down below,
Thanks In Advance!

I have it tiered with in my bios. The reason is not because of noise but because of life span of the fan on the cooler. I would rather not have it running 100% when I really don't need it there. The temps i usually see when gaming are at about 60-70% fan speed and 3.8 on all cores, hits 55-60c. Which is very good. I think my tiers are set up for general pc usage, gaming, and rendering. 35-40% is good for general computer usage, kept it down at about 35-40c, gaming it is at 60% most of the time. I have it set up to hit 100% if for some reason it hits 70c and it stays at that until it cools back down to 60c.
You can try, but finding stable 4ghz with the Spire will be pretty difficult as it might start thermal throttling after around 3.7. Also heat diminishes the value and life of your chip and is never a good practice to ignore. If you want to push it to anywhere around 4 or above a good quality AIO is always recommended.

Yes I'm aware of the heat. But if I actually put the fan manually from the bios to 100% all the time, I think temps shouldn't go over 65C. More research I've noticed that 3.9GHZ is more likely , and I'd still be under 1.35 Volts.

I'd like to keep the Wraith Spire and use it to overclock. Like I said the more I look at it , 3.9 GHZ is more realistic.... So when you overclock with the Spire did you have the fan profile on 100%? Thanks

Yah I mean worse case I could just replace the fan, but Ill probably do a extreme fan curve on the cooler. Nice to see that I'm getting information from someone who actually owns the processor. Those number you have are pretty impressive. I'm going to be running a X370 motherboard with all my 400C case fans maxed out . So temps should be cool for the motherboard and CPU. Thanks Alot!
