So as of now I have a i7-3770k paired with 16gb ddr3 at 1333 mhz with a gtx 1060. I plan on playing 1080p at 144hz or 120hz on games such as WoW, Overwatch, csgo. I'm trying to debate between getting an i7-7700k, or the ryzen 1700. Everywhere I look I get mixed results. Thanks for your help.

Ryzen is going to be cheaper, and apparently new chips are also going to come out on AM4, where Intel might move to a different socket making your upgrade patch need to include a new mobo
Intel is going to have better overall performance in general, probably better speeds too. typically more expensive to go with that.
Personally, I like Ryzen, good luck though!
